Some more birds

First let me thank my brother Bruce for identifying birds shown in previous blogs. I haven't added captions to the blogs, but his identifications are listed in a comment at the end of the blog.

This is a collection of photos from the last week in no particular sequence. I continue to be amazed at how many bright colourful birds there are in this arid environment.
The parrots in particular are good at being noisy around campsites as they flock to trees usually eight or ten at a time.


I couldn't get a good photo of this bird - looks a bit like a vulture, half again (or more) bigger than the black kites that are present in significant numbers. 
 This hawk was on the other side of the same tree as the one above. It's about the same size as the kits
